Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Vice Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said to the chiefs and people of Jomoro in the Western region that the NDC is the political party with the proven track record to develop the Jomoro Constituency
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang touted the NDC achievement in their previous government in the area of education, health, infrastructure, roads and good governance when she took to the podium to address teeming residents at Half-Assini Methodist School Park as part of her campaign tour of the Western region.
The Running mate called on the chiefs and people of Jomoro particularly the women to vote for the NDC for meaningful change, indicating that an NDC government has the blueprint to implement ideas espoused in “The People’s Manifesto” not the people who initially vehemently opposed to consultative approach leading to the drawing of the manifesto and are now seen implementing them. “H.E John Dramani Mahama has respected us, by choosing a woman, it means he has reposed confidence in us and so we cannot disappoint his bold step” she said
The tumultuous crowd that thronged Bonyere Junction, the hometown of the Dorcas Affo-Toffey, the Parliamentary Candidate and Nawule Junction, the hometown of the late Ambassador Lee-Ocran made it extremely difficult for Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang’s convoy to through and was forced to address them.
Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang was accompanied on the campaign trail by Mrs. Matilda Amissah Arthur, the wife of the late HE Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur, Hon. Armah Kofi Buah, MP for Ellembele Constituency, Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley, Hon. Sherry Aryitey, Hon. Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, Hon. Alex segbefia and Mr. Solomon Nkansah.
