This conference is the first PAI and 5th Regional Conference to be held in West Africa between 27th and 31st July 2020 in Accra.

A deep throat at the presidency has revealed to” Politicsafrika” that the President of the republic of Ghana Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo is expected to honour an invitation served him by the officials of The Pan African International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Trans and Intersex Association.
The source further hinted that a relative of the president who is currently at the presidency has recommended that the group go into partnership with the Popular Education and Human Rights, Ghana (CEPEHRG), a civil society organization based in Accra. Registered in 2003, which focuses on the health needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons by providing health and social services necessary for the response to HIV. It also advocates for the human rights of Ghana’s LGBT community.
The source finally stated that the country is likely to receive an appreciable donor support from the LGBT community should Ghana accepts the offer before them.
Whether or not the president should attend this conference has called for a lot of heat at the presidency. Other government officials are also arguing on why the values, principles and culture of the country must be traded for money.
