Ghana’s former Ambassador to India, Lawyer Sam Pee Yalley of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reiterated HE John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to develop Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region with ultra infrastructure if he is given the opportunity again to lead the country as President.
The lawyer lamented over the fact that Ghanaians at Elubo had to cross the border to trade because of lack of market to attract flourishing and competitive commercial activity and emphasized on the pledge in The People’s Manifesto to build a mini Kejetia market at Elubo to turn the local economy around so that Ghanaians do not travel to Côte d’Ivoire to trade. “The idea behind the plan to build an ultra modern market facility at Elubo is to open up the local economy to put an end to Ghanaians travelling to trade in Côte d’Ivoire.
He assure them that the NDC government will pursue a national development agenda which focuses on youth. “The John Mahama government will dedicate a whole Youth Development Ministry to take care of issues affecting youth because they constitute the bulk of Ghana’s population” he said.
Lawyer Sam Pee Yalley spoke on the sidelines of Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang’s campaign tour to his home region to woo votes ahead of the 2020 December elections.
